We’re so excited and proud to have reached the one year mark for Nonna’s Bag!!!
We officially launched on May 15, 2020, which was a couple months into the pandemic, (the pandemic I honestly thought would end within a few months-and boy I was so wrong), and now here we are a year later and what a year it has been!!!
So much has changed in one year, we have dealt with so many obstacles together as a planet, and personally I have been going through a lot as well. In this past year I launched Nonna’s Bag, have become a mother to a beautiful little girl, and have lost cherished loved ones.
Launching and navigating life and business through the pandemic has been something like no other, which I know everyone has been dealing with some version of the same issues and stressors over the past year.
But launching Nonna’s Bag has been so rewarding, and I am learning and growing as a business owner every day.
I have made so many connections with other business owners and developed relationships with so many strong women in different industries, some of which I am proud to say have become my friends, even though we have only communicated online!
The first year of owning my own business has come with its own set of challenges as well, I have made mistakes and am growing from them, and after one year I am proud of who I am and what I have accomplished, even though at times it has felt like an uphill battle.
For the future year to come, my goal for Nonna’s Bag is to continue to grow, develop new products, create more content for everyone to enjoy, and continue to make connections with people in my community. It will be difficult, but I know with determination and the support of those around me, I can persevere!
And I’m so excited to continue to share my journey with all of you!
In my personal life, I want to grow as a new mom and learn from those around me about parenthood and how to be the best mom I can be for my baby girl. It has been so encouraging for me to share my experiences with other parents and ask for their advice.
Since we aren’t able to see each other and spend time with others much, I have made it a priority to learn from others by simply calling or texting and asking them questions! You wouldn’t believe how many things I have learned this way, google and the internet are great for quick answers, but nothing beats real life experience and engaging with other people.
My little girl was having some issues with eating, and my husband and I tried everything the doctor recommended, we even went to see specialists, but the true relief and betterment came when we started using the suggestions made by family and friends that experienced similar problems.
Same goes for learning how to navigate and run a small business! I have not been shy to reach out and ask for help or suggestions from those who have been doing it longer, and I have implemented so many of their successful practices!
But now I turn it to you, after this crazy year, what are some life lessons you have learned? Share them with us in the comments, we would love to know!!!
